Introduction: The internet is my second home

I can boast that I really can feel at home on the internet! This is my international background:

I was born in Bogota, Colombia.
My father was born in Spain,
My mother in Germany, (one of her grandparents moved to Germany from Russia).
My sister, Claudia, married somebody from England.
My ex-wife, Ellen was born near New York.
Our daughter, Shira was born in Israel
Our son Eitan was born in Australia !.
My partner, Sylvia, was born in Indonesia and grew up in Singapore!

As you see, quite an international background! I was first attracted to the Internet back in 1992, while I was a student at the University of Western Sydney. In those times, Dymocks, a large bookshop in Sydney, only had two books that related to the Internet!

1953 - Born in Bogota Colombia
1974 - BA Mathematics, Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota
1975 - 9 month hitch-hiking trip from Colombia, through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil to Argentina. then by ship to Spain, continuing via France, Germany, England, Scotland, Belgium, Holland, Italy and finally concluding in Israel.
1975-1990 Lived in Degania B,a Kibbutz in the Jordan Valley, Israel
1979 Married Ellen nee Glick
1988 Shira born
1990 Emigrated to Australia
1993 Eitan born
2001 Separated and divorced
2004 In a relationship with Sylvia
2016 Retired! Happily retired!
2022 Moved from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland

1994 Graduate Diploma in Business Computing - University of Western Sydney.
Granted the Alex McAlpine Prize given to the student with the best overall result in computing subjects
1990-1996: Head of Computing and IT Manager, Metropolitan Business College (MBC), Sydney
1995-2000: Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer, Technology Solutions Group.
2000 - 2006: IT Manager, Flair International Pty Ltd, the former largest manufacturer of bathrooom furniture in Australia, with branches in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth
2004-2007: Enroled in Masters of Systems Development at Charles Sturt University
2007 (Jan-March) Director, Senior Developer and Systems Analyst Dabas Software Solutions (My own company!)
2007-2015: Senior Developer, BizCaps
2016-Present: HAPPILY RETIRED!!!
